Both sides of the table

Topes Labour Law Consulting (Pvt) Ltd is a Harare practice dedicated to labour relations law. We act for employees and for employers, so we know how a dispute looks from both sides of the table. Our job is to give you a clear view of your position early, and then to get you the best result through negotiation where possible and through the arbitration or the courts where necessary.

Common questions

Do you act for employers or employees?

Both. We advise each client on their own position and never act for both sides in the same matter.

When should I contact you?

As early as possible. Early advice often avoids a dispute altogether, and some disputes have time limits for being referred.

What should I bring to a first consultation?

Your contract, payslips, any warnings, notices or letters, and a short written timeline of what happened.

Can a dispute be settled without going to court?

Often, yes. Many disputes are resolved through negotiation or conciliation. We tell you honestly when a settlement is the better route.
